Captain M Moazzem Hossain, (S), afwc, psc, BN has joined as Commanding Officer of Naval Store Depot, Chattogram on 22 March 2020. He joined Bangladesh Navy on 1st July 1989 and was commissioned in the Supply Branch on 1st January 1992. During his long career in the service he served in various appointments and attended number of courses in home and abroad. He served in various staff appointments at unit, area and Service Headquarters levels. He served in appointments like, Supply Officer of different ships and establishments, Officer Incharge of School of Logistics and Management (SOLAM) in Khulna, Assistant Director (Purchase) in Directorate General of Defence Purchase (DGDP) etc. He served in Naval Headquarters as Deputy Director of Technical Stores and Naval Stores. He was also director of two directorates of NHQ namely Directorate of Naval Education Services and Directorate of Naval Supply and Transport. He served as Director (Finance) in Khulna Shipyard Limited. Before joining Naval Store Depot he was serving as Commanding Officer of SOLAM. Captain Moazzem is a graduate from Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSC&SC), Mirpur, Dhaka and did 2nd Staff Course from Naval War College, Rhode Island, USA. He also underwent Long Logistics and Management Course (LLMC) in INS Hamla, Mumbai, India. Before going for LLMC, he did Supply and Secretariat Advance Course from SOLAM. He is an alumnus of Armed Forces War Course (AFWC) of National Defence College, Dhaka. He did Diploma in Supply Chain Management conducted by International Trade Centre (ITC), Geneva, Switzerland through DCCI Business Institute (DBI). He participated in Senior Staff Course (SSC) in Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center (BPATC), Dhaka. He is an MBA graduate from GOA University. He served in the UN Mission as Military Observer in Sudan. He visited a number of countries like, India, Pakistan, Srilanka, Sudan, UAE, Bahrain, USA, Canada, Turkey, Japan, Thailand etc. He is happily married and blessed with one son and a daughter.
